TIERED TULLE DRESS: OBSESSED!

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of attending my niece's Bat Mitzvah.  It was a "black and white" evening event, so I wanted a really unique dress.  Aly wore a beautiful pink strapless gown which really stood out and looked amazing.  I chose a bit of a modern take on black and white in this nude tulle gown and matching nude jeweled ankle-strap heels.  I added a black satin wrap.  It was so easy to wear and I was thrilled with the choice, it was just perfect.  I am in love with this dress; can't wait until I can wear it again.

BACKYARD BBQ LOOK - THE ROMPER

 

 

I put together this casual look for a backyard barbecue we were invited to over the hot, sunny weekend.  Eileen and I were instant messaging a week or so ago about some summer looks, and I wrote "I picked up two rompers at Nordstrom Rack last week.  They are everywhere!"  She replied, "You're right, rompers ARE everywhere!" 

Well, I can't believe this style is back, to be honest.  And I can't believe they are still called rompers.  I wore this style when I was eight!  I'll admit, I loved the colors and casual ease of this one from Collective Concepts.  I paired it with my fave belt from Anthropologie and new Sam Edelman gladiators.  Here's to long, lazy days and many more delicious barbecues with friends.  Welcome, summer!

SUMMER SANDAL STEALS

I'm super excited about these Sam Edelman sandals I got for a steal at Nordstrom Rack over the holiday weekend.  Their "Crock Sock" insoles really are as comfortable as they say.  I loved the camo ones so much I got a pair for my daughter so we could be twinnies.  Find the classic Gigi, Ginger and other styles ON SALE at Nordstrom Rack , Sam Edelman and Shopstyle.

I love this combo of red and black.  My favorite part is that is doesn't compromise color for warmth.  Winter outfits can have as much punch as spring ones! I love the look of the check pattern shirt with the black and red solids.  I added this favorite beaded stone statement necklace I bought on a girls trip to Charleston.  It brings the whole thing together.

LUMBERJACK LOOK LOL

 

I cannot take off this buffalo check flannel top since picking it and this soft camel V-neck up at the GAP.  I also love these new American Eagle skinnies, which I have in a lighter wash and just picked up in this darker shade. I added my fave camel-colored Lucky Brand boots and I feel like a lumberjack, but I absolutely love the look.  ;-)
