Jill & Eileen

Jill & Eileen

ABOUT

Jill and Eileen found each other in 2008 when they became cubicle neighbors in the marketing department of a Boston-area company. Over the years, their shared obsession with fashion became a daily discussion. Their co-workers referred to them as "the stylish ones" in the office.

After six years of friendship, fashion and fun, the idea for A Stylish Pair blog was born over some maki rolls and a couple of bottles of Sapporro. Jill and Eileen wanted to chronicle their daily outfits, share office and casual dress inspiration with other women and offer access to tips, new products and sales for their fashion-loving friends.

What does A Stylish Pair mean? The name refers to Jill and Eileen, who are happily committed to their corporate jobs by day. As part time bloggers, they post photos and write about ideas and trends by night. The name also describes the things they crave, wear and write about - a stylish pair of jeans, a stylish pair of shoes, a stylish pair of sunglasses - you get the point. Enjoy!

BLACK IS BACK

I thought this was a good rainy Monday morning outfit. I have had these black BCBG pants for a few years. They are a light weight cotton so I only wear them in the warmer months. And can you believe that my shirt is from Free People. I went into the Free People store today and even the sales girls didn’t recognize it. Usually Free People is boho but this shirt I can wear to the office!

SHOP THE POST>> Pants: BCBG (sold out, silimar here), Blouse: Free People (sold out, love this and this), Bracelets: Banana Republic and Nordstrom, Watch: Michele, Shoes: Kate Spade (sold out, but similar here and here), Nails: OPI Don't Bossa Nova Me Around

SUMMER STRIPES

Laid back summer style is easy with this striped knit top, a cutoff denim skirt and my sneaks. My hair is inspired by Alexa Chung today; tousled waves and windswept bangs with the help of Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray. I love this crocheted necklace and my favorite little Fossil bag that I have had for years. Live, love, summer!

SHOP THE POST>>  Top: LOFT (sold out, similar at Revolve Clothing and Splendid at amazon.com), Skirt: Old Navy, Bag: Fossil (old, similar here), Rings: Pandora, Bracelets: Alex & Ani, David Yurman, and Tiffany & Co., Watch: Rado, Lip Gloss: Mary Kay, Sunglasses: Kohl's, Nails: Sally Hansen Angel Wings over Sally Pink Slip.

CHILD'S PLAY

Okay, so I totally feel like an 80's kid again in this neon stripe sundress.  Super comfy - it'll be a great bathing suit cover up or I'll toss it on for weekend errands or shopping on a hot day.  Here, I decided to play up the fun factor even more with my Converse All-Stars and chunky resin jewelry.  How cute is this hot pink pixel heart necklace?

Dress: Soprano at Nordstrom Rack ON SALE!, Necklace: Claire's, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff , Watch: Rado, Sunglasses: Freebie from Polar Beverages promoting their new limited edition seltzers for summer 2014, Sneakers: Off Broadway Shoes, Lipstick: Sephora Collection Forever Fuscia No. 11.

Have a Stylish day!

SHADES OF GREY

I pulled this dress out of my closet this morning thinking “I have nothing to wear” today.  A dress works well in that situation – just one piece, a few accessories and some interesting shoes and I’m good to go! I have had these leopard peep toe shoes for a few years.  They go with everything and I use them as a neutral.

SHOP THE POST>> Dress: BCBG (old, so sold out, similar here and love this), Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Belt: Anthropologie (sold out, similar here and here), Shoes: Donald Pliner (similar here and love these)
