ABOUT

Jill and Eileen found each other in 2008 when they became cubicle neighbors in the marketing department of a Boston-area company. Over the years, their shared obsession with fashion became a daily discussion. Their co-workers referred to them as "the stylish ones" in the office.

After six years of friendship, fashion and fun, the idea for A Stylish Pair blog was born over some maki rolls and a couple of bottles of Sapporro. Jill and Eileen wanted to chronicle their daily outfits, share office and casual dress inspiration with other women and offer access to tips, new products and sales for their fashion-loving friends.

What does A Stylish Pair mean? The name refers to Jill and Eileen, who are happily committed to their corporate jobs by day. As part time bloggers, they post photos and write about ideas and trends by night. The name also describes the things they crave, wear and write about - a stylish pair of jeans, a stylish pair of shoes, a stylish pair of sunglasses - you get the point. Enjoy!

TIERED TULLE DRESS: OBSESSED!

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of attending my niece's Bat Mitzvah.  It was a "black and white" evening event, so I wanted a really unique dress.  Aly wore a beautiful pink strapless gown which really stood out and looked amazing.  I chose a bit of a modern take on black and white in this nude tulle gown and matching nude jeweled ankle-strap heels.  I added a black satin wrap.  It was so easy to wear and I was thrilled with the choice, it was just perfect.  I am in love with this dress; can't wait until I can wear it again.

BACKYARD BBQ LOOK - THE ROMPER





 

 






I put together this casual look for a backyard barbecue we were invited to over the hot, sunny weekend.  Eileen and I were instant messaging a week or so ago about some summer looks, and I wrote "I picked up two rompers at Nordstrom Rack last week.  They are everywhere!"  She replied, "You're right, rompers ARE everywhere!" 

Well, I can't believe this style is back, to be honest.  And I can't believe they are still called rompers.  I wore this style when I was eight!  I'll admit, I loved the colors and casual ease of this one from Collective Concepts.  I paired it with my fave belt from Anthropologie and new Sam Edelman gladiators.  Here's to long, lazy days and many more delicious barbecues with friends.  Welcome, summer!
