Jill & Eileen

ABOUT

Jill and Eileen found each other in 2008 when they became cubicle neighbors in the marketing department of a Boston-area company. Over the years, their shared obsession with fashion became a daily discussion. Their co-workers referred to them as "the stylish ones" in the office.

After six years of friendship, fashion and fun, the idea for A Stylish Pair blog was born over some maki rolls and a couple of bottles of Sapporro. Jill and Eileen wanted to chronicle their daily outfits, share office and casual dress inspiration with other women and offer access to tips, new products and sales for their fashion-loving friends.

What does A Stylish Pair mean? The name refers to Jill and Eileen, who are happily committed to their corporate jobs by day. As part time bloggers, they post photos and write about ideas and trends by night. The name also describes the things they crave, wear and write about - a stylish pair of jeans, a stylish pair of shoes, a stylish pair of sunglasses - you get the point. Enjoy!

STARS & STRIPES FOREVER

This outfit was so much fun to style and wear.  I wore it to see Zac Brown Band at Fenway Park over the weekend!  I love these new Rag and Bone jeans.  They feel amazing and look cute cuffed, rolled or straight.  Red, white and blue proves to be classic, easy and effortless to wear, anytime.

I love eyelet. This blouse is one of my many  eyelet pieces that I wear during the warmer months. It nice and cool but dressy at the same. Today I paired it with black pants from Nordstrom, a black patent bag and a pair of one of my favorite Tory Burch shoes.

MY URBAN DECAY

Check out this pretty palette.  These are my every-day, go-to shadows.  I love to use highly pigmented eye color with a good dose of shine, never matte.  These Urban Decay eyeshadows are great.  I use the peacock blue and gunmetal colors as a liner.  Simply wet an eyeliner brush - I use the Bobbi Brown one pictured - drag the edge of it through the shadow a few times and hold the bristles horizontally as you glide the color onto your upper lash line.

Fun facts:

1) The design of these little round shells is inspired by old New York City subway tokens.  LOVE!

2)  No Parabens, Sulfates or Phthalates.

3) You can pop them right out of their shells and drop into your own custom palette.  No more fumbling through your makeup bag.  Urban Decay Build Your Own Palette, featuring "Melt," an exclusive metallic peach. ON SALE!

SHOP THE POST >>  Urban Decay Eyeshadow: Polyester Bride (metallic white), Radium (peacock blue shimmer), Smog (deep, coppery bronze), Half Baked (golden bronze I wear over Smog), Fishnet (very similar to Pantone & Sephora Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid), Oil Slick (black with silver microglitter), another fave (not pictured) is Last Call (metallic sugar plum), Eyeshadow Brush:  similar here, Eyeliner brushes: Bobbi Brown and BareMinerals, similar here.

OFFICE RUGBY

Who needs office yoga when you can rock rugby stripes at work?  I love this skirt.  With its wide royal and navy stripes, it's the perfect combination of collegiate prep and modern color block.  I added a smart envelope clutch and a chunky gold link necklace to finish the look.

HELLO, PICASSO!

Meet Picasso, one of my neighbor's gorgeous horses.  I think he was as excited about this shoot as I was.  I love the relaxed, summery feel of this mint stripe chiffon top paired with laid back cargo capris and nude gladiator sandals.  These Newport Stripes sunglasses from Francesca's Collection are my fave.  They have mint and coral candy-stripe arms and a preppy mint anchor on the left lens front. Ahhh, summer.
